Minister of Foreign Affairs Mevlut Cavusoglu, who participated in the gala dinner of OTI Holding on the occasion of the celebration of its 25th foundation anniversary, stated his anticipation that very significant developments will take place in the tourism sector next year and the number of tourists coming to Turkey from Europe and the main market Germany will boom again. Cavusoglu said the following in this regard: “There is an increase in the number of tourists from England. We foresee that the number of tourists coming to Turkey from Europe, and especially our main market Germany, will increase and the demand will boom next year. We will stand beside our tourism professionals. What differentiates Turkish tourism is its hospitality and the unique quality of its service which has no precedent in the world. Is there any airlines better than Turkish Airlines? Not only Turkish Airlines but also the private airlines of Turkey provide good quality service. Hotels in Turkey have very high quality and the prices are reasonable.”

Ayhan Bektas, Chairman of the Board of Directors of OTI Holding, stated that they have grown very rapidly as a company beginning from the year 2000, attached great importance to technology, and made investments continuously.

Sergei Pavlovich Schipilko, President of the Russian Tourism Industry, stated that the Russian tourism market has been developing and Turkish companies have been operating actively in that market. Michael Frenzel, President of the Federal Association of German Tourism Industry and the Ambassador at Large of Sustainable Tourism for International Development Year of the World Tourism Organization, stated that the number of German tourists coming to Turkey would boom next year and there have been significant increases in the early reservations and last-minute sales. Gerald Lawless, President of the World Travel and Tourism Council, drew attention to the fact that world tourism trade grows every year and world tourism sector provides employment for 300 million people. Almost 2,000 participants including agency owners, airline representatives and sector representatives from 30 countries participated in the celebration activities on the occasion of the 25th foundation anniversary of OTI Holding.
